Do you need to schedule an exam in Cirrus? This quick start guide will get you started right away.
This guide helps exam planners to understand to process of scheduling under Delivering in the main menu.
Schedule a new exam
- In the main menu, go to 'Delivery' .
- Here you find an overview of all scheduled exams.
- Click on '+ Add schedule' and select the assessment you want to schedule.
Options
- Complete all the information on this popup.
- Add the Schedule title if necessary.
Schedule title
We advice to add the following data to your title:
- Schedule data
- If it's remotely proctored
- If it's using Safe Exam Browser
- Other relevant details that apply to this schedule
- Select a hierarchy group that you want to associate with this schedule. This group should include marking coordinators, assessors, moderators and users who should be able to see reports for this schedule.
- Define a time window for this exam. The test is available to candidates within this window.
- Adjust the time zone, if necessary.
Candidate tab
- Go to the 'Candidates' tab.
- Click on '+ Add candidates'
- Select a hierarchy group that includes all candidates for this schedule.
- Or use the search bar to manually search for candidates.
- TIP: place your cursor in the search bar and press enter for get the full list of candidates in this hierarchy.
- Select candidates and click on 'Add'.
- Click on 'Close' to exit this function.
Add or remove candidates
When the schedule's time window is active, you can always add or remove candidates. Candidates that already started their exam cannot be deleted.
Invigilators tab
- Go to the 'Invigilators' tab.
- Click on '+ Add invigilator'
- Add invigilators. They will be able to monitor this exam when it's ongoing.
Scheduling
- Hit 'Activate' at the top right to open a dialog window.
- If you are done, hit 'Activate'
The test is now visible on the Candidate's Dashboards.
Adjusting a schedule
- In the main menu, go to 'Delivery' .
- Open an already scheduled exam and view the information.
- Click on 'Edit schedule settings' and undo the schedule.
- You can now make changes in the settings, found via the 3 dots in the top right corner
- Don't forget to reactivate the test when you're done adjusting.
