Sharing your assessment

Prev Next

The Share button on an assessment lets you collaborate with co-authors and reviewers, and lets you generate a no-login link for internal demos. Use this article to set up authoring collaboration and to understand the anonymous link's limits.

Open the share dialog

Open the assessment and select Share in the top right.

Share button on an assessment

You need a role that includes assessment sharing. See Assessment roles for the permission.

Collaborate on an assessment

Share the assessment with another user and assign them a role. The roles are defined centrally under Admin > Roles > Assessment:

  • Author: full control, including sharing.
  • Co-author: edit access, no sharing.
  • Reviewer: read-only review access.

By default only the Author can share. Adjust the role definitions if you want Co-authors to share too.

These roles let you build a multi-step authoring workflow: an author drafts, co-authors edit, reviewers sign off, the author publishes.

Anonymous sharing

Anonymous sharing generates a no-login URL that opens a simulation of the assessment. Use it for internal demos and feedback.

The link uses the tenant's default language for the UI.

Internal use only

Anonymous links are designed for internal use. The simulation also reveals the answer alternatives for Fill in the blank questions, so it is not suitable as a mock exam for candidates.

Limits:

  • Up to 50 sessions per month per tenant.
  • No results are recorded.
  • The link is sharable: anyone with it can use it and pass it on. Treat it as semi-public.

Prerequisites

To make the anonymous link work, complete every setup step apart from publishing:

  • At least one form on the Forms tab.
  • Welcome and finish pages attached.
  • An assessment scale selected.

Without these, the link returns:

Exam is not ready. Please contact the administrator for assistance.

Blueprint with a random form

When the assessment combines a Blueprint with a Random form, the anonymous link only works after the assessment is published.

Audit access

The share dialog shows everyone currently granted access, with the role assigned to each. Remove or change roles from the same dialog.
