Overview
Data & Insights is a reporting and analytics feature within Cirrus that helps organisations understand assessment activity, platform usage, and operational trends.
The feature has two separate components:
- Insights, preconfigured dashboards and visual reports available directly within Cirrus
- Data, secure access to the underlying analytical dataset for use in external business intelligence tools
Together, these components let organisations either use ready-made insights or build fully customised reporting solutions.

Access & Configuration
Access to the Data components is managed through the Administration area in Cirrus, where administrators can configure access and manage credentials.
Depending on the subscription tier, access to the Data component may first need to be enabled through the Cirrus Service Desk.
Administrators can:
- Enable Data access
- Retrieve connection details
- Generate or rotate credentials
- Configure access restrictions where applicable
Access is read-only and intended solely for reporting and analytics.
Subscription Tiers
Data & Insights may be available in different subscription tiers.
Examples include:
- Basic Insights dashboards
- Extended or advanced Insights reporting
- Custom Insights reporting
- Full Data access for external BI integrations
Alongside the standard Insights dashboards, Cirrus can work with your organisation to build custom reports tailored to your specific requirements.
These reports can be added directly to the Insights area within Cirrus, so users can access organisation-specific dashboards and visualisations alongside the standard reports.
Custom reports vary in complexity and scope depending on your requirements and the level of customisation. The exact implementation and feasibility can be scoped together with the Cirrus team.
