Article summary

During the marking process there are various moments where one can void a candidate. This article will explain how.

If a candidate, for example, is found to be cheating, you may wish to void the assessment.

There are 4 methods to Void a candidate's attempt:

  1. Voiding by invigilator (only during exam)
  2. Voiding by marker on submission page (during marking)
  3. Voiding by result publisher (during publishing of results)
  4. Voiding via API (integration)

Please see this invigilator actions article for more details.

2. Voiding by marker on submission page (during marking)

This action requires permission, as set via Admin >Roles > Site > Marking > 'Void attempts'

This allowsmarkers to see the void option on the Marking > Asses > submission page of schedule.

Permission will also activate voiding option on 'Marking > Result tab'

Voiding results on the submiddion page is only possible for results that have not yet been submitted. Already submitted results can be voided by the user who publish results, see point 3 of this article.

Voided results still needs to be submitted and published and become available in the reporting with the status 'Voided'
