# Sharing your exam dates with Cirrus

## Why share schedules and marking periods?

Sharing your schedule and marking period dates helps Cirrus provide timely support. It is particularly useful in the following scenarios:

- Premium support licence holders
- Exams outside regular office hours (evenings, weekends, or public holidays)
- Other scenarios discussed with the Cirrus Service Desk

              Sharing schedules is not mandatory

              

Sharing schedules is optional. Cirrus recommends doing so when high-volume exams or critical marking periods fall outside standard support hours.

## How to share via the Customer Portal

1. Share information at least two weeks in advance.
2. Log in to the [Customer Portal](https://help.cirrusassessment.com/purl/portal).
3. Go to **Support**.
4. Select **Product Question** as the request type.
5. Copy the example table from the description and add your schedule or marking details:
  - For schedules: include start date, start time, end time, time zone, number of candidates, and type (schedule or marking).
  - For marking: include start date, general timeframe, any remarks, and the type.
6. Submit the request. Cirrus will respond promptly.

## Best practices

- Share well in advance.
- Provide clear, accurate information.
- Check the [release schedule](https://help.cirrusassessment.com/docs/release-calendar) to avoid scheduling conflicts with platform updates or maintenance windows.
