# Guide to Sharing Schedules and Grading Periods
Why Share Schedules and Grading Periods?
Sharing schedules and grading periods is crucial for ensuring all stakeholders are informed of key dates and times, facilitating better planning for assessments, and enhancing transparency among faculty and candidates.
Sharing schedules is not mandatory
Sharing schedules is not mandatory, however in some scenario's it might good, such as:
- When having a premium support license
- When having exams outside of our regular office hours, such on holiday/weekend/evenings
- Other scenario's dicussed with Cirrus Servicedesk
How to Share via the Customer Portal
- Plan Ahead: Share information at least two weeks in advance for necessary preparations.
- Log In: Access your account on the customer portal.
- Navigate: Go to 'Support'
- Choose Type: Select 'Product Question' type for sharing.
- Enter Details:
Copy the example table in the description and add your information- For schedules: Include Start date, Start time, End time, timezone, number of candidates, type (schedule or Marking).
- For marking: Specify Start date, general timeframe, any remarks and a type.
- Reply by Cirrus: Cirrus will always reply asap.

- Be mindful of our release schedule to avoid conflicts with updates or maintenance.
