# Release Policy

Following customer feedback, Cirrus has reduced the frequency of releases. Regular platform updates are deployed on Tuesday mornings. See the [Release Calendar](/v1/docs/release-calendar) for scheduled dates.

Release times by region:

- EU: 06:00 CET/CEST (UTC+1 / UTC+2)
- CA: 00:00 EST/EDT (UTC-5 / UTC-4)
- SG: 21:00 SGT (UTC+8)
- AU: 00:00 AEST (UTC+10)

Cirrus announces releases at least 2 weeks in advance via the [Status Page](https://status.cirrusplatform.com/){target=`_blank`} and in the [Release Notes](/purl/release-notes) on this portal.

Organisations with an RC subscription can test new releases on cirrusrc at least 1 week before the production release (normally at least 4 weeks in advance).

## Infrastructure maintenance

Infrastructure maintenance normally takes place on Sundays, as data shows this is the day with the fewest digital exams, minimising disruption.

Reserved maintenance window per SLA:

- EU: Sunday 03:00-05:30 CET/CEST (UTC+1 / UTC+2)
- CA: Sunday 03:00-05:30 EST/EDT (UTC-5 / UTC-4)
- SG: Sunday 03:00-05:30 SGT (UTC+8)
- AU: Sunday 03:00-05:30 AEST/AEDT (UTC+10)

## Hotfix

Hotfixes are exceptions to the standard release cycle. Cirrus reserves the right to release a hotfix when a bug requires immediate resolution.

Hotfixes have minimal downtime and are normally released at 06:00 CET/CEST.
