Quick Start: invigilator

Do you need to invigilate an exam in Cirrus? Use this quick start guide to get started right away.

This quick start guide will help invigilators/proctors to understand to process of monitoring an ungoing test in Cirrus.

The invigilation dashboard

• In the main menu, go to 'Delivery' .
• Go to the 'Invigilation' tab for a list of all the exams to which you are linked as an invigilator.
• Open the exam that you need to monitor to access the Invigilation Dashboard.
• Here you see all registered candidates for this exam and their status (started, not started, finished).
• Use 'Filter by' to filter on different statuses.
• At the bottom of the page you will find the total number of candidates per filter.

Invigilator actions

Select one, a couple or all candidates and open the 'Action' drop-down menu above. Here you can:

• Give extra time.
• Pauze assessments
• Start them again
• Generate a pincode
• Send a message (one way communication)
• Void a candidate

Candidater log file

Click on one of the started candidate to open the log file.

Here you will find a detailed overview of all candidate actions, time spend per item and answered questions.

Also, in case of an appeal, these log files will give you all the information you need.
