# Permanent URLs

For Cirrus Platform URLs, see the [Cirrus Platform URLs](/api/docs/cirrus-platform-urls) page.

Cirrus maintains a list of [Permalinks ⧉](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Permalink){target=`_blank`} (Permanent URLs, or PURLs) where the link destination can be updated without changing the URL itself. This allows these links to be used safely in documents and updated over time.

For example, [purl/release-notes](https://help.cirrusassessment.com/purl/release-notes) pointed to Release Notes 2023 when first published, and will point to Release Notes 2027 in future.
