The welcome page is the cover page of your assessment. It typically contains a welcome message and instructions for candidates before they begin.

The finish page is shown after the candidate submits the exam. It typically contains a closing message. For example: "Thank you for your participation. Results will be shared within 5-10 business days."

You can create a unique welcome and finish page for each assessment, or reuse a generic page across multiple assessments.

              Note

A **Welcome screen** and **Finish screen** are mandatory for each assessment. Add them when setting up the assessment form. [Learn more](/v1/docs/assessment-form-finish).

### Select page type

Select the page type:

- **Welcome screen**: displayed at the start of the assessment.
- **Finish screen**: displayed after the assessment is submitted.
- **Other screen**: available for certain bespoke features and not generally used.

### Enter the title

Enter the item title. This is for internal use only and will be visible in your Library throughout the process. This title is not visible to candidates.

### Enter page text

Create the page content here using the rich text editor.

### Configurable page details

For a welcome page, certain details displayed below the page text can be hidden. By default, all the following details are shown:

- Number of questions
- Schedule start
- Attempt
- Which attempt counts
- Duration
- Schedule deadline
- Max score
- Percentage to pass mark

### Optional

A PDF or large image can be added as a resource or media file to the welcome or finish page.

### Save, close, preview & cancel

- Click **Save and Close** to return to your collection overview.
- Use **Preview** to see how the page will appear to the candidate.

### Non-disclosure agreement (NDA)

When delivering assessments, you can require candidates to accept a Non-Disclosure Agreement before starting. This page is configured as a template in the **Admin** section, not in the Library. See [Adding a Non-Disclosure Agreement to your assessments](/v1/docs/non-disclosure-agreement-nda).

### Survey pages: the registration form

Registration forms can be configured to collect additional information from candidates before or after the assessment. Use cases include:

- Collecting candidate registration details (for example, for awarding bodies).
- Gathering feedback on the assessment or specific questions.
- Collecting feedback on your educational programme and its instructors.

Registration forms are configured as templates in the **Admin** section, not in the Library. See [Registration forms: collecting information before or after the assessment](/v1/docs/registration-forms).
