# Logging in to Cirrus (Candidate)

Use this article when a candidate needs to sign in to Cirrus to take their exam.

Candidates sign in either with a username and password, with a single-use keycode, or through their institution's single sign-on (SSO).

## Sign in with a username and password

1. Go to your organisation's Cirrus platform. The URL looks like `https://organisationname.cirrusplatform.com`.
2. The login page opens. The form sits on the right, with your institution's helpdesk contact on the left.
3. Enter your **username** and **password**.
4. (Optional) Change the language from the picker below the form. The choice applies to both the Cirrus dashboard and any exam you take.
5. Click **Login**. You arrive at the candidate dashboard.

Click **Forgot password?** below the **Login** button. Enter your username and Cirrus emails you a password-reset link. Check your spam folder if you do not see it within a few minutes.

## Sign in with a keycode

If your invigilator has given you a paper slip with a single-use keycode, click **Login with Keycode** below the password form, enter your keycode, and the dashboard step is skipped. See [Keycode](/v1/docs/keycode) for the full keycode flow.

## Sign in with single sign-on (SSO)

If your institution uses SSO, you can sign in through your Learning Management System and arrive at Cirrus without entering a separate username and password.

## Automatic sign-out

Cirrus signs you out automatically after you submit an exam. You can sign in again at any time to see your dashboard, upcoming exams, or completed results.
