See also [how to set up Candidate Feedback](/docs/candidate-feedback-administration#setup-candidate-feedback).** Available since 7 March 2023 As part of continuous improvement, some organisations enable candidates to report feedback on question items during their exams. Cirrus facilitates managing that feedback from within the platform. ## Candidate feedback This article covers Candidate Feedback Administration. For information on how the feature works for candidates and assessment authors, see [Candidate Feedback](/docs/candidate-feedback). ## Content Management - feedback tab "Manage content" permission Available to all users with the ["Manage content" permission](/docs/site-roles#administration). All feedback reported by candidates (see [Candidate Feedback](/docs/candidate-feedback) for details) can be managed here. Feedback with status **Closed** or **Invalid** is hidden by default to keep the table focused on actionable items. From here, view details by clicking the **(i)** icon, or select items to [Announce feedback](/docs/candidate-feedback-administration#announce-feedback) to authors, or [Update Status](/docs/candidate-feedback-administration#update-status). ### Feedback report The Cirrus Search bar with an Item ID takes you directly to the question item Subject of mail: > Feedback on item {{ ItemID }} - "{{ FeedbackTitle }}" - {{ FeedbackTimestamp }} *If an intro message was provided during [Announce Feedback](/docs/candidate-feedback-administration#announce-feedback), it is inserted before the body text with a blank line separator.* Body text of mail: ``` {{ CandidateFirstName }} {{ CandidateLastName }} (id: {{ CandidateId }}, email: {{ CandidateEmail }}) has provided the following feedback during Assessment "{{ AssessmentTitle }}" (code: {{ AssessmentCode }}) on {{ FeedbackDate }} at {{ FeedbackTime }}: Feedback Title: {{ FeedbackTitle }} Feedback Type: {{ FeedbackType }} Item-ID {{ ItemID }} Question-type: {{ ItemQuestionType }} Feedback: {{ FeedbackDescription }} ``` ## Processing feedback ### New feedback After a candidate submits feedback, it appears with the status **Open**. ### Announce feedback Select one or more items and click **Announce** to send a [Feedback report](/docs/candidate-feedback-administration#feedback-report) to all authors with whom the question item is shared (optionally with a CC email address). To include an introductory note, complete the intro text field before announcing; it will appear before the [Feedback report](/docs/candidate-feedback-administration#feedback-report). After **Announce**, any **Open** feedback is automatically set to **Sent**. The feedback report does not include a direct item link. Entering the Item ID in the Cirrus Search bar will take the user directly to the question item. ### Update status Select one or more items and click **Update Status**, then choose: - The new [Feedback status](/docs/candidate-feedback-administration#feedback-status) - A Status Remark (optional) The **Status Remark** enables you to keep status notes together with the feedback in Cirrus. #### Feedback status | Status | Category | Remarks | | --- | --- | --- | | Open | New | After candidate submitted feedback | | Sent | Work in progress | After feedback was [Announced](/docs/candidate-feedback-administration#announce-feedback) | | In progress | Work in progress | | | Closed | Done | | | Invalid | Done | | Items with status **Closed** or **Invalid** are hidden by default. ## Setup candidate feedback 1. Set appropriate [Candidate Feedback Defaults](/docs/candidate-feedback-defaults) for your organisation. 2. Enable the [Edit report feedback option](/docs/assessment-roles#assessment-management) for the appropriate assessment author roles in your organisation. Once configured, you are ready to start [Processing Feedback](/docs/candidate-feedback-administration#processing-feedback) as it arrives. ## Troubleshooting ### Feedback not visible in Library Candidate feedback is currently only visible under **Content Management**. ### Cannot find the item ID If you do not have permission to view the question item in the Library, it will not appear in your search results.
