Assessments can be worked on collaboratively. The Assessment Role setup determines what co-workers can do with your assessment.
The ability to share assessments is determined by the user's role, as defined under Admin > Roles > Collection in your Cirrus environment.
By default, Cirrus offers three roles (Author, Co-Author, Reviewer) that can be assigned when sharing a collection. These roles can be fully customised by a Cirrus System Admin.

Sorting
Changing the numbers in the Sorting row adjusts the column order in the overview. This is a visual adjustment only and does not affect individual roles or permissions. The role with the highest number appears furthest to the left; this is typically the System Administrator.

Status management
Items can be assigned a status. Live status indicates that an item is ready for use in an assessment. Cirrus provides multiple statuses to control access for different users and roles.
| Available statuses | |
|---|---|
| Draft | Assessments with Draft status. |
| Live | Assessments with Live status. |
| Archived | Archived assessments. |

The status management settings determine which statuses are visible to each collection user role:
- Deny: Items with this status will not be shown in the item overview for the shared collection.
- Modify: The user can view and change the status of an item.
- View: The user can view items with this status but cannot change an item to this status.
Default role for the assessment creator
When a new collection is created, you can set a default role. This is typically the owner's role. Only one role can be set as the default at a time.
